Duncan and Madeline’s Australian Adventure

25th Australian Jamboree – January 3rd to 14th, 2019

Duncan O’Neil is an accomplished world traveler and Venturer Scout in Ontario, Canada. Duncan has been involved in the Scouting movement in Canada since joining the organization as a “Beaver” as a child. He has been active member within the 21st Oshawa Scout Troop throughout his time with Scouts Canada. In 2016, Duncan traveled as a participant and Venturer Scout to the Finland Jamboree and as part of this trip he visited Germany, Estonia, Finland and Russia. Duncan made life long friends and learned many valuable life lessons as a Venturer Scout during this trip.

Duncan hopes to attend the 2019 Australian Jamboree because he loves to travel and experiencing new adventures. Duncan has long been interested in Australian history and wishes to experience the Australian lifestyle and culture first hand.

 

Madeline O’Neil is a highly accomplished world traveler and Venturer Scout in Ontario, Canada. Madeline has been involved in the Scouting movement in Canada since joining the organization as a “Beaver” as a child. She has been active member within the 21st Oshawa Scout Troop throughout her time with Scouts Canada. In 2016, Madeline also traveled as a participant and Venturer Scout to the Finland Jamboree and as part of this trip she visited Germany, Estonia, Finland and Russia. Madeline has made life long friends and learned many valuable life lessons during her Scouting journey.

Among Madeline’s accomplishments she currently serves as the Youth Group and Youth Area Commissioner for the 21st Oshawa Scout Group. Further to this, Madeline was honoured in 2017 by becoming one of the few females to achieve and receive the Chief Scout Award. She hopes to attend the 2019 Australian Jamboree because she loves to travel and believes it will be a great opportunity to meet international members of the Scouting community and to expand and improve the Scouting experience for others through her current Youth roles.
